WE'RE BACK : )

Hey! Thats right... me AND kevin are back from georgia!! The trip went really well, besides not feeling well most of the time. It is sooo great having kevin home and getting to talk on the phone as much as we want. It has been a very long and emotional summer and i praise the Lord that it is finally over. He is back at school and working really hard. We have never been better and our relationship has never been stronger. His love for Christ and maturity amazes me everyday. Many of you know that Kevin and I have been talking about marriage, and yes i know we are young, but this experiance has shown me how much we truely care for each other and just how serious we are about this relationship. We communicate so well and can talk about and work through anything. I am so thankful for his friendship and for those who have supported us in our relationship. Many people had doubts that we would last through the summer but i never had a doubt in my mind. Thank you for your prayers, he is finally home!! : ) I cant wait to see where the Lord takes us now.

ITS FINALLY HERE!

After 4 months of Kevin being gone... I finally get to see him! Tomorrow morning, at 5am, I will be on a plane flying across the country to see him! : ) This has been a very difficult and testing summer. But God has kept me strong and has given me some AMAZING friends while he was away. Here's are plan for the week while i am there... Tomorrow: His family and I will be going to the air port. Wednesday: We will be relaxing and site seeing a little bit. Thursday: WE GET TO SEE KEVIN! : ) they call this day "family day" we go on base and they brief us all, then our soldiers show us around the base and perform some activities for us all. Also, they have their "turning blue ceremony". Then he gets to leave base with us until 8pm and we will most likely get some dinner all together. Friday: is Graduation! They have Their ceremony and then Kevin gets to leave! : ) Saturday we will all be flying back together, Kevin included! Gosh i cant wait for all this. I am very excited. I am so proud of Kevin for all that he has gone through and for being such a great witness to all the other soldiers there, but i am definitely ready for him to come home. Please pray for a safe flight and trip. Be back on the 4th! : )

my very first!

This is my first blog! dont really know where to start. Things have been pretty amazing in my life this past year. It hasnt always been easy but it has been filled with blessings. I started school in may, and as challenging as it can be some times, it is a lot of fun. Every time it comes to paying my bill each month for school God has been blessing me with oportunities to make a little extra to pay it off. Whether it is doing a friends hair and them giving me a great tip or house sitting for people, it has been amazing. A little over a year ago i started dating kevin, and that has been a huge blessing in itself. We started out as friends and created this amazing relationship that is focused of God. He started out as my best friend and i grew to love him more and more each day. He goes to school at western oregon and that was hard in the beginning when he moved there. But he always tried to make it home on the weekends for me. Now i realize that God is just working on our hearts and lives individually as well as together. In june kevin left for basic training. He has been at ft. Benning and working so hard. I have missed him so much but i know that God has an amazing plan through all this. Kevin has such a great ministry there. He started a bible study and now he has brought 8 guys to Christ! i know that it hasnt been easy for him being there but seeing God work in his life this whole summer has been sooo amazing. I plan on graduating in a few months and finding a job in the salem area and getting an appartment with my friend angie. I am so excited and i cant wait to see what the Lord has in store for me..and kevin too! : )
